Organisational Structure

THE Foundation is essentially a group of like-minded people working together to serve the community through various avenues of involvement. These include the School of Total Education, the Centre for Healthy Living, as well as various businesses set up to provide funding for the Foundation’s educational activities.

Overall responsibility is taken by the Board whose members currently are:

Alex Gudkovs
BA MA Llb
Principal of the legal firm Gudkovs Power Osborn, Alex has looked after many aspects of the Foundation’s legal work over the years. He has extensive experience in corporate and local government law.

Jan Gudkovs
BSc(Hons) MA MAPS
Jan is a psychologist with a background in science including the study of physiology, biochemistry and genetics. She has been involved in the Foundation’s health care programs from the beginning. She has also been involved in the School of Total Education, co-ordinating the Parents Program for several years. Her current interests include family therapy and the development of a culture of peace at a local community level.

Patrick Hannon
Having a background in Engineering and Business studies Patrick has been involved in a number of Technology business start-ups. He has been a member of the Foundation’s Business Advisory Group for many years.

Shane Power
Shane has a legal background as well as experience in supporting the businesses that have upheld the work of the Foundation for many years. He is also a member of the Governing Council of the School of Total Education.

Richard Waters
BA DipEd.
Richard has been Principal of the School of Total Education for over 20 years. He has also been involved in the Teacher Development Program, training teachers for the School since the 1970s. Richard is interested in the articulation of the concept of Total Education to the broader educational community, particularly with teachers, through the Institute of Total Education. He has a particular interest in Peace Studies, not simply as an academic study but as a personal philosophy.
